I have learnt that successful people share common traits and habits. There are behaviours that virtually all achievers engage in on a daily basis. Doing what successful people do will rapidly accelerate your personal and professional growth, and increase your income greatly.
One of the master keys to success is to get help. Why stay stuck trying to figure it out on your own, wasting lots of precious time and costing yourself a great life? A good coach will help you turn years into months, months into weeks and weeks into days. You can accomplish more with someone who can guide you than by yourself. Your coach gives you direction and more importantly accountability. Also, at the same time, a coach can help you identify your purpose or passion. Success is never a straight line – it’s more like a zigzag. Using someone else’s expertise can cut your learning curve, help you hone in your niche and get you to your goal a lot quicker than trying to do it alone. Coaching is a two way street. When you have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with your coach, don’t shy away. They are there to help you and give you insight. You will get out of the relationship what you put into it.
It’s no secret that world-class athletes like Venus and Serena Williams thrive because they have great coaches. You may not know that billion-dollar corporations like Microsoft and IBM recognize the value of coaching as well. These companies have dozens of executive coaches that guide their middle and upper-management teams. They understand that coaching from an expert is more valuable than any other sort of support they could offer these employees.
Your task for the next week is to find a coach or a mentor that can help you with your business, and connect with them this week. If you can’t make a personal connection, buy one of their books, seminars or presentations and begin to study. If you do have the opportunity to connect personally, make sure you have questions ready and ask them when you can!
